Welcome to the Instructor App. This guide explains every setting available in the Options menu, helping you customize the app to perfectly suit your teaching style.

Lesson Management

How to access: Log in to the app and tap the menu icon (≡) in the top-left corner. From the slide-out menu, select Options.

In this section, you can tailor your default lesson settings and diary display:

  • Default Lesson Duration: Set the standard length for your lessons (in hours) to pre-fill new bookings.  This can be overwritten when adding a lesson

  • Default Gearbox: Choose your primary vehicle type—either Automatic or Manual.

  • Display: Choose whether you want advanced options open/closed - advised to have open

  • Diary Colour Coding: Customize the display colours used in your diary for better visual organization.

  • Payment Labels: Select how you want to see payment statuses on your calendar (e.g., "Paid" vs. "Unpaid"). And then pick the colours that you want for them

  • Check in: How long before the lesson you allow pupil to check in

  • Progress Categories: Whether you want them open or closed (meaning you would need to click on them to open them in the app)

Notifications

Stay in control of your communications with automated alerts. This menu is split into three key areas:

1. Lesson Change Alerts
When you modify a lesson, choose whether to notify your pupil:

  • Yes, notify the pupil – Sends an automatic update.

  • No, don't notify the pupil – Makes the change silently.

2. Lesson Reminders
Set a reminder to be sent before each lesson to reduce no-shows. You can choose one of the following lead times:

  • 24 Hours

  • 48 Hours

  • 72 Hours

  • Custom Message: add the appendix to the message with the lesson reminder details


3. Payment Reminders
Encourage prompt payments by scheduling automated reminders:

  • Lead Time: Choose to send reminders 1 Day, 2 Days, or 3 Days before the lesson’s payment due date.

  • Custom Message: Write a personalized note to include with every payment reminder.

4. Messages


  • Syllabus: Amend message sent to student after their progress has been updated

  • Reflect: Amend the message that is sent to the student after you have updated their progress

  • On way: Amend message should you wish to send an 'On the way' message

  • Arrived: Amend the message that you can send the student to tell then you have arrived

  • Passed Test: Amend the message you can send congratulating your student on passing their driving test

  • Passed Theory: Amend the message you can send congratulating your student on passing their theory test

  • Birthday:  Amend the message you can send to your student on their birthday



Diary Hours

  • Working Hours: Set your standard start and end times for each day.

  • Format: Please note that times must be entered in 24-hour format (e.g., 09:00 for 9 AM, 17:30 for 5:30 PM). Your available slots will be displayed to pupils based on these hours.

  • Away day: Option to mark away day at midnight to 9am, 9am to 5pm or Midnight to Midnight

Profile

Keep your personal and business information up to date. From this menu, you can edit the following details:

  • Name: Your full name as displayed to pupils.

  • Organisation Country: The country where your driving school is based.

  • Contact Mobile Number: Your primary phone number for pupil communication.

  • Tax Year Start Date: Set the day and month your financial year begins (e.g., 06/04 for the UK).

  • Password: To update your login credentials, tap on Reset your password and follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Theory Practice:  Whether you would like to give your pupils the option to buy the Theory practice.




Gaps Plus

Available only on the Ultimate and Elite Packages.  This allows you to put out gaps and to charge for them as the pupil books

  • Visibility: Whether you want to show or hide gaps on the pupil app

  • Hide Gaps: Choose how long before the gap you wish to hide it

  • Display up to: Choose how far ahwad you want to show the gaps

  • Booking Limit: Set a limit as to how many gaps a student can book at a time

  • Credit:  Choose whether the pupil requires credit to book the gap
