The Messages section allows you to communicate directly with your pupils through the Total Drive app. Messages sent here will trigger a notification on the pupil's device, keeping communication quick and convenient.
Accessing Messages
From the home screen, tap the message bubble icon on the lower navigation pane to open the Messages section.
Two Ways to Start a Conversation
Option 1: Reply to an Existing Conversation
In your Inbox, tap the ">" icon next to the pupil you wish to message.
This will open your full conversation history with that pupil.
Option 2: Start a New Conversation
Tap the "+" icon at the top of the screen to create a new message. You can also go to their profile
From the list of pupils, tap the ">" icon next to the pupil you want to message.
Composing and Sending Your Message
Once you've opened a conversation:
Type your message in the text field at the bottom of the screen.
Tap arrow to deliver the message.
What Happens Next
The message will be sent instantly to your pupil's Total Drive app.
Your pupil will receive a push notification on their device, assuming they have switched on push notifications.
When they tap the notification, the app will open directly to the conversation, allowing them to read and reply.
