Enhanced Help File: New Student Profile Features (Version 4.1)

We are excited to introduce a major update to the Total Drive app! With Version 4.1, students can now manage their own key profile information directly within the app.

This new feature empowers your pupils to take ownership of their learning journey while significantly streamlining your administrative workload. By having students input their own details, you save valuable lesson time that was previously spent on data entry.

Below is a breakdown of the new 3-step profile setup.

Step 1: Personal & Scheduling Details

On this page, students can configure their core profile and weekly availability.

  • Contact Information: Add or update their primary email address and Date of Birth.

  • Licensing & Testing: Input their Driving License Number and indicate their current Theory Test status (e.g., Passed, Awaiting Test, Not Taken).

  • Availability: Select their preferred lesson days and times for the week. This helps you plan your schedule more efficiently.

  • Profile Picture: Upload a photo to personalize their account, making it easier for you to identify students at a glance.



Step 2: Pick-Up Locations

This page is designed to ensure you always know exactly where to collect your pupil.

Students can save multiple regular pick-up points (e.g., Home, Work, School).

For those hard-to-find locations, we have integrated a What3words field. This ensures you can pinpoint the exact entrance or meeting spot, eliminating confusion and wasted time searching for each other.


Step 3: Emergency Contacts

Safety is our top priority. This page allows students to store vital emergency information.

Students can add the name, relationship, and phone number of their emergency contacts. This ensures that you have immediate access to the right people in the unlikely event of an emergency or if you need to cancel a lesson last minute.


Instructor Tip: Encourage your pupils to complete all three pages before their next lesson. It takes just a few minutes for them and saves you hours of admin over the long term.
