If you need to add the same parent to two separate pupil accounts (e.g. siblings), you’ll need to follow this workaround, as each phone number can only be used once per PIN:

  1. Go to the second pupil's profile in the Web Admin or App.

  2. Add the parent details manually under the Parent section.

  3. When entering the parent’s mobile number, add a different number, such as changing the last digit. This is necessary because Total Drive uses the phone number as a unique username — it cannot be used on more than one pupil account under the same PIN.

  4. Set a password for the parent account.

  5. DO NOT send an app invite

  6. Send an SMS to the parent outside of Total Drive, such as via your phone or WhatsApp. Include:

    • Their username

    • The Total Drive PIN

    • The password
